3 Ways I Achieved My 1st Goal of 2017

10:04

Hi guys, I hope you've all been well?
Sorry I've been away for so long. At the beginning of 2017 I wrote down 3 things I wanted to achieve this year, then I split 2017 into 3 quarters to set myself a deadline for each goal (April, August, and December). Once I decide to set myself tasks, I will do whatever it takes to achieve them. Unfortunately, that meant taking some time off to fully focus. This blog post is all about how I was able to achieve my first goal within the first 4 months of 2017.
Enjoy and I'll see you all soon!XXX

1. Isolation

My first goal of 2017 was to eliminate scarcity. So I had to make a solid realistic plan on how I would achieve this within 4 months. Isolation was the most fundamental element in achieving this goal because I needed room to think, plan and eliminate outside noise.

Guys whenever you are trying to achieve something there will always be people around, who will tell you, it cannot be done. You have to believe in yourself more than anyone else in this world, only you can see the greatness that lies ahead. I won't lie sometimes things got unbearably difficult and I would question whether I was capable, but I stuck to the plan and my gut feeling.

Throughout the time I didn't speak to friends and only saw my family twice. My focus level was at 100% because at that point in my life I had to achieve my goal by any means necessary. "When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe then you'll be successful" Eric Thomas

2. Surround Yourself With People Already At The Level You Want To Be

The second secret to how I achieved my first goal of 2017, was that I surrounded myself with people who are already where I wanted to be at the time. I am the kind of person that has no shame, once I admire something about someone I will tell them. I love successful people and I'm never too ashamed to ask for help.

I mentioned in a previous post that I have several mentors, those are the people who are there to push you when you feel like giving up and guide you to not make the same mistakes they did.
If you don't have a mentor go and get one, anyone that you look up to or admire. Successful people like to help and invest in others, so do not be afraid to ask and put in the hard work.Get out of your comfort zone!
It's only in the uncomfortable seasons that uncommon things occur.

3. Do Not Give Up

The only form of failure is giving up.
This next point is easier said than done, I can't tell you guys how many times I cried, doubted myself and felt like giving up in this past few months. Sometimes things do not go to plan and it gets extremely difficult, but you must focus your mind on the solution, not the problem. If one method doesn't work out, think of another way out. Whatever you do, do not give up!

I've been through so many challenges in life that I am used to having to fight for everything I have. Hard work and perseverance are things I build on every single day. You will learn to appreciate things that you work hard for, so don't let disappointment meant stop you.

I hope this post helps some of you who may also be going through challenging times. If you have any advice or thoughts on how to achieve goals please comment below.
